Cordial and Classic March Wedding
Charissa and Jake’s March outdoor wedding was classy, formal and fun. From dawn until the last dance, this day was the most elegant of celebrations.
March in Estes Park marks the tail end of winter and first sign of Spring. Some weddings in March feel like summer, while others may welcome abundant snowfall. Charissa and Jake’s wedding landed on one of those brilliant Spring days – crisp, cool and bright. All signs of snow had melted away, but the late afternoon sun was rich and warm, illuminating the golden colors of the trees and grasses with romantic shadows and flawless light.
How do we describe these two? For starters, they are supremely, everlastingly in love with one another. Not a single guest could deny it. Their relationship is made stronger by their religious faith, which was a integral to how they chose to celebrate their wedding day. Their wedding party prayed with them before the ceremony, and Charissa and Jake honored one another with a heartfelt foot washing ceremony during the reception.
Charissa is full of style, and her wedding day look captured the zest, happiness and beauty of her personality. Jake was a fittingly handsome groom, and looked regal in his black tuxedo and bow tie. From attire to decor, Jake and Charissa’s wedding was formal and elegant. Champagne colors, gold sparkles and black accents set the stage for each portion of the day. Charissa chose to incorporate wooden logs and candles into the reception decor, keeping with the mountain theme and adding to the character of the room.
This day featured no shortage of celebratory special touches, including live ceremony music, Charissa’s father officiating the ceremony, a party popper ceremony exit, specialty cocktails, comical toasts, and a splendid nighttime photoshoot.
We had the lucky privilege of catching up with these newlyweds on their anniversary. When asked how married life was, they responded: “No one told us how fun marriage would be!”
Charissa and Jake – we wish you all the fun and happiness in the world. Congratulations!
